“If we allow ourselves to be poets we will find that beauty is around every corner. This collection captures unguarded, fleeting moments across the urban landscape of Mumbai. The city is in transition, becoming a modern financial and industrial capital. It’s at a crossroads of extremes where the present pushes with the strength of modernity and the past hold its ground in denial. It is said in India that Shiva with his dance creates and destroys the universe. Mumbai transforms in chaos under the rhythms of colors and textures and the fabric of human experience. “Unguarded Moments" documents a time and its people with their hopes and despair, their work and leisure, their world as they see it. It speaks of the present but also of the past.
It looks for the poetry in the most unlikely moments and places.
It hopes to awaken the poet in all of us.”
